The art of flowers in Lyon

The Tomaselli Collection unveils an essential facet of the artistic heritage of Lyon, the city of silk and elegance, with an exhibition dedicated to “The Art of the Flower” running from March 18 to September 27, 2025.

Since the XVIᵉ century, Lyon has been the cradle of a mecca for textile innovation, where floral motifs have always held a prominent place.

Through an immersive tour, the exhibition highlights the influences and evolution of floral design in Lyon’s decorative arts. From the boards of the prestigious “Classe de la Fleur” at the École des Beaux-Arts to modern collaborations between artists and silk houses, visitors will discover an anthology of masterpieces, between tradition and modernity.
